The Sunderland City Council Heritage team work with multiple partners to promote access to heritage in the city through various projects, events and activities.
We worked with extensive audience testing and research data to give us an understanding of which elements of Sunderland’s heritage are the most recognisable.
We went on to develop a logo and visual identity that succinctly captured these elements, whilst also ensuring the branding represents the breadth of Sunderland’s rich past.
Our graphic approach was to build a visual identity that was bold and modular and can be used in a flexible yet recognisable way.
